BLACK BELT CAMP 2003
Occuring over July 17th-20th, 2003, this year's Black Belt Camp was the ATA's first event at the newly renovated 4-H Center in Little Rock, AR. The area features excellent lighting, new rooms, extravagant grounds including a small lake and swimming pool, movie room/auditorium, and a new state-of-the-art technology conference room with computer terminals.
Over 50 attendees of this 3-day camp trained in advanced methods for sparring, form (1st, 2nd, and 3rd Degree Black Belt), and conditioning. They also practiced weapons for their rank (basics, combative, and form). Grand Master Soon Ho Lee was present for some one-on-one time to help members train for midterm requirements and to offer encouraging words!
Protech seminars included Ssahng Joel Bongs, Jahng Bongs, Pressure Point, Joint Lock Cross, Parallel Grip Drills, Joint Lock Drills, PPCT Spontaneous Knife Defense and Ground Fighting #1 and #2. We were fortunate to have Master Yoo from ATA Headquarter to teach some Olympic competition and training methods, as well as Mr. Leland Brandon from Las Vegas, NV to demonstrate ATA Combat Systems, Kick Boxing, and much more over the course of the camp.
We want to give a special thanks to Grand Master Soon Ho Lee and the Master's Council for their instruction and guidance: Chief Master Allemier, Chief Master Clark, Chief Master In Ho Lee, Sr. Master G. K. Lee, and Sr. Master M. K. Lee; as well as head instructors who donated their time and expertise: Master Yoo, Master Jay Kohl, Master Kathy Lee, Master Ken Reynolds, and Mr. Leland Brandon.
Black Belt Camp is exciting, fun, and informative with many tremendous benefits to attending. If you will be a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd degree black belt and over the age of 16 by June 2004 we want to see you at our next great Black Belt Camp...
