It happens so often in Taekwondo that it's almost a cliché - a shy, insecure, self-conscious teenager begins training, builds skills and self-confidence, and starts achieving excellence in class and elsewhere. Soon the introvert transforms into a powerful communicator, valuable team member, and influential leader. Mr. Tyler Wright was just such a student. In class he would rather do push-ups than yell as required. That was five years ago, as a beginner. Now this young gentleman is a 2nd Degree Black Belt and assistant instructor at Master Schreiber's school - one of the most skillful, dependable and passionate teachers on staff, who also helps organize Team PRIDE fundraisers and other events. The fact that great leadership potential is often realized through Taekwondo training might be cliché - but it's a tradition ATA doesn't mind keeping up!
Team PRIDE tuition assistance students often dedicate themselves to Songahm Taekwondo with such enthusiasm and diligence that in time they become some of the school's best leaders. They work hard and practice Songahm life skills in their personal, professional, educational and social lives, extending positive influences into needful places far beyond the dojahng. It is our pleasure to highlight a few of Master Jordan Schreiber's most accomplished students, who repay the kindness of Team PRIDE assistance with achievement and honor in their lives, and with true leadership in their schools and communities.
