PRESS RELEASE

ATA International Welcomes the 2020 Master Class

LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (November 16, 2020) – ATA International, the world’s largest organization dedicated to teaching martial arts to the entire family and with licensed locations across the globe, announced that Grand Master M.K. Lee and the Masters’ Council hosted the first-ever Virtual Title Ceremony on Sunday, November 15, 2020 to award titles to the 2020 Master Class.

These dedicated leaders normally would have been inducted during a Mastership Ceremony on July 15, 2020. Like so many other plans, this event was cancelled due to Covid-19. The 2020 nominees for Master, Senior Master and Chief Master titles have been patient and persistent throughout the pandemic. The Masters’ Council therefore felt they should not wait any longer for their titles and chose to hold a special ceremony to recognize their accomplishments.

As of November 15, 2020, all Master Nominees who completed their requirements and their training will be recognized by their new titles. In addition, the date of their titles will be retroactive to July 15, 2020, when the Mastership Ceremony originally was scheduled to occur.

We plan to hold a live Mastership Ceremony for the 2020 Master Class in the spring of 2021. At that time, the new masters will complete their fast, will be dubbed and will receive their certificates, their ceremonial silk uniforms, and their masters’ rings. All of the ATA’s living Grand Masters will be invited to be a part of this important event.

Please join us in thanking and congratulating the following new Masters, Senior Masters and Chief Masters who attended the Virtual Title Ceremony:
