PRESS RELEASE
Grand Master Cesar Ozuna Announces Separation from ATA International
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (October 6, 2020) – ATA International announces today with great sadness that Grand Master Cesar Ozuna has decided to separate from ATA International in order to pursue other interests and opportunities.
Grand Master Ozuna joined ATA in 1976 and over the course of the last 40 years has made a significant impact in our Latin America region. In a public statement, Ozuna reflected on his time with the ATA and the relationships he has made: “To all the wonderful students, black belts, instructors, and Masters I have met during these magical years, my deepest thank you. You will always have my respect and wishes of success.”
“On behalf of ATA International, I would like to thank Grand Master Ozuna for all his years of commitment and the incredible work he carried out in developing and growing the Latin American territories,” said Neil Morton, CEO of ATA International.
Consistent with Ozuna’s statement that he has given his ‘’juniors the freedom to take their own decision,” the seniors in the Latin America region have all committed to remain with ATA and are excited for the future. In addition to this commitment, the Songahm Masters Council will be putting in place a Songahm Masters LATAM Advisory Council to work directly with the Songahm Masters Council in the United States. The LATAM Council will be made up of the senior leaders in that region and they will be announced before the end of the year. The Masters Council has nominated Chief Master Vincent Raimondi to be the link between the two councils. Raimondi said, “The future is bright as we work to bring all regions of the world closer together and accelerate our global expansion to help spread Songahm Taekwondo.”
