Miss Isabelle Green
Disney+ – a new streaming service for all things Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars and National Geographic-related – features a show called “Marvel’s Hero Project” which tells us the stories of young heroes making a difference in their communities. Miss Isabelle Green, an ATA Martial Arts student from Georgia, made her way onto the show through hero work she is doing in her own community which includes a significant amount of fundraising for the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.
Her journey towards becoming a hero started with ATA at the age of 5 when she was watching her older sister practice martial arts from the side. Mrs. Prazer of Prazer’s ATA Martial Arts noticed her interest and asked her mother if it was ok for Miss Green to join in on the classes. Isabelle wore casts and braces on her legs so her mother wasn’t sure she would be able to do taekwondo, but Mrs. Prazer assured her that anyone of any ability can do it. She is now 13 years old and has been a 3rd Degree Black Belt for over a year.
In her time with ATA, Miss Green has become part of the Legacy Program, been Georgia State Champion several years in a row, District Champion for several years and earned her World Champion title in 4 events at Worlds in 2017. However, the biggest accomplishment she received from practicing taekwondo is the ability to walk. It has also brought her many new friends that she loves training with because the people she trains with make it fun!
Miss Green would like to thank Master and Mrs. Prazer for believing in her from the beginning, Mr. Toren Thomas for making taekwondo fun and Ms. Lauren from the show for being awesome!
We always love hearing stories of how ATA has Made It Possible in the lives of so many and we are excited for Isabelle to share her story and her passions on “Marvel’s Hero Project” which is now available for streaming on Disney+.
